Erasmus+: Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals (Vocational Education Training and Adult Education)

Since 2011, Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation (I.NE.DI.VI.M.) is responsible for the financial management of the Hellenic Public Vocational Training Institutes. In this framework, from 2011 to 2013, more than 20 mobility projects were funded and successfully implemented by I.NE.DI.VI.M. for the trainers and the trainees of the Public Vocational Training Institutes, under the E. U. Programme Leonardo Da Vinci.

Since 2014, Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation (I.NE.DI.VI.M.) has implemented 18 Mobility projects for learners and staff, under Key Action 1 of the Erasmus+ programme (Field: Professional Development and Training – Public Vocational Training Institutes and Field of Adult Education – Second Chance Schools and Lifelong Learning Centers).

Under the call for proposals of 2015 and after the assessment procedure by the National Agency IKY, 15 Mobility Projects are going to be funded in the area of Vocational Education Training.

Mobility projects for learners and staff in this field, enables beneficiaries to travel to another participating country in order to work, teach, train or develop professional skills and competences. The implementation of projects by I.NE.DI.VI.M and the Public Vocational Training Institutes aims to improve the skills of individuals who work and/or train in similar activities. The beneficiaries, through the mobility projects, are able to acquire new knowledge, new skills and competences, while at the same time enhance their personal development, having the capability to improve their language skills, to learn about new cultures and in general to develop the sense of European identity. Moreover, these projects also promote the recognition and certification of competences acquired.

Concerning the field of Adult Education, the implementation of projects by I.NE.DI.VI.M., the Second Chance Schools and Lifelong Learning Centers offers the staff of adult education institutes the opportunity to improve their key skills and competences, through transnational mobility activities. These activities aim to improve the quality of teaching and learning, as well as reassure the direct connection with the labor market and the real needs of the society. Projects of learning mobility offer to the participants, the opportunity to participate in relevant courses and carry out job shadowing abroad in the field of adult education for a period of time.
